Establecido en 1979 en m\u00e1s de 65 acres, el parque Graham Edward Martin se encuentra en 16th<\/sup> y Fall Creek Parkway, justo al norte del centro de Indian\u00e1polis. Anteriormente llamado 16th<\/sup> y Fall Creek Park, pas\u00f3 a llamarse en honor al teniente Graham Edward Martin, quien sirvi\u00f3 como uno de los primeros oficiales afroamericanos en la Armada de los Estados Unidos. Despu\u00e9s de servir cuatro a\u00f1os como comandante de barco en la Armada, Martin fue entrenador de f\u00fatbol y b\u00e9isbol universitarios en la escuela secundaria Crispus Attucks de 1947 a 1982.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The park will be closed starting in September 2026 for construction that is expected to last until late 2027. Improvements will include a new playground, splash pad, restrooms, shelter, and improved parking lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
