The $2.6 million project brought a new playground, splash pad, and courts to the west side park<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

INDIAN\u00c1POLIS <\/strong>\u2013 Today, Indy Parks joined City-County Councilor Jessica McCormick and community leaders to unveil the newly renovated Chapel Hill Park on the city\u2019s west side. The $2.6 million project fully renovated the park with a new playground, splash pad, basketball, and pickleball courts.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhether they are playing in the new splash pad or picking up a game of pickleball on the brand-new courts, our neighbors on the west side are already creating unforgettable summertime memories at the reimagined Chapel Hill Park,\u201d said Mayor Joe Hogsett. \u201cImprovements like these, made possible by the generosity of the Lilly Endowment, are transforming parks all over the city into vibrant, community-centered spaces and contributing to the unparalleled quality of life we are building in Indianapolis.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The park\u2019s opening is the latest milestone in major park improvements funded by the Subvenci\u00f3n de dotaci\u00f3n de Lilly<\/u><\/a>. Chapel Hill Park is the 17th completed project funded by the grant to date with 27 others under construction or starting construction this summer. A full list of recent and upcoming projects can be found aqu\u00ed<\/u><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Chapel Hill Park is a great example of what can happen when community partners, residents, and local government come together around a shared vision,\u201d said City-County Councilor Jessica McCormick. \u201cThis investment creates a welcoming space where families can gather, children can play, and neighbors can connect. I am grateful to Mayor Hogsett, Indy Parks, the Lilly Endowment, and Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for helping make this project a reality and strengthening the quality of life for residents on the west side.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
