Al E. Polin Park

About

Al E. Polin Park, originally named Talbot and 29th, was established in 1973 and sits on just 1.95 acres near the Ivy Tech Community College Campus. Despite its small size, the park includes a playground, basketball court, a shelter with picnic tables and a grill.

The park is named after Al E. Polin, a community activist and lifetime resident of the Mapleton Fall Creek Area. Polin continues to stay actively involved in his community and serves on the Indianapolis Community Policing Board, Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center, and the Drug Free Indiana Commission.
