Pride Park was added to the Indy Parks’ system in 1968. Located between Orange and Prospect Streets, the ½-acre park sits in the heart of the Norwood neighborhood, which was established in the late 1800’s by Black men who had served in the Civil War in the 28th US Colored Troops regiment. This small park has an active community center, basketball court, and playground.
The playground will be replaced in 2024 thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan.
