Franklin Township Community Park

About

Established in 1970, this 99-acre park contains abundant opportunities for active as well as passive recreation for all ages. Nature trails, a pond, a playground, and basketball courts make this park a popular attraction to families on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

Franklin Township Park is one of the 42 parks receiving investment from the Lilly Endowment Grant. A $2.85 million project supported construction of a new playground, shelter, hardcourts, and paving the existing nature trail. The project was completed in the fall of 2025.
