Come enjoy our winter wonderland at one of Indy Parks’ most beloved holiday events! See the Conservatory decked out in its holiday best with a brilliant display of poinsettias, model trains and village, and thousands of twinkling lights. Jingle Jars at Ellenberger Park
Dec. 13 | 2-4pm | $5
Calling all craft and cocoa lovers: join Ellenberger Park in making hot cocoa jars! Participants will enjoy festive music and a nice warm cup of hot cocoa while filling their jingle jar with instant hot cocoa mix as well as all your favorite toppings. Jars will be complete with a peppermint spoon to make the perfect Holiday gift or a yummy snack for later. Learn more and register to make your Jingle Jar.
A Very Upcycled Christmas at Garfield Park Arts Center
Garfield Park Arts Center will be hosting classes on how to celebrate the holiday season with less waste through the art of upcycling. They will be offering two programs during December:
- Upcycled Ornaments: Dec. 13 | 2-3pm | $5
- Nothing says “sustainable” like home-canned food, but what are you supposed to do with all those extra lids? Deck the tree with them, of course! Come craft three styles of ball-jar ornaments to add a cozy accent to your holidays. Learn more and register for the upcycled ornaments program.
- Upcycled Cards: Dec. 20 | 2-3pm | $5
- Hallmark has nothing on your creative spark! We’ll use collage and printmaking to adorn our holiday greetings. Come find out how fancy recycling can be! Learn more and register for the upcycled cards program.
Letter to Santa workshop at Krannert Park

Join us for a heartwarming holiday tradition at our Letter to Santa Workshop! This festive gathering invites children of all ages to write their very own letters to Santa Claus. Enjoy a cozy atmosphere filled with holiday cheer, festive decorations, and the joyful spirit of giving. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to make holiday memories and send your wishes straight to the North Pole! Bring your family and friends, and let’s make this a celebration to remember. Christmas Cafe at Grassy Creek Park

Join the Grassy Creek staff at the park’s first Christmas Cafe! Grab your kiddos and cozy up inside of Indy Parks’ new community center with a cup of hot cocoa. DIY Wrapping Paper at Washington Park

Make your gifts extra thoughtful this year by wrapping them in paper you created yourself! During this program, participants will print their own wrapping paper and learn about unique wrapping options and toppings to make your presents stand out. Learn more and register for the DIY wrapping class.
Christian Park’s Christmas Celebration
Dec. 20 | 12-2pm | Free
Take a magical journey to Santa’s Workshop with the Christian Park Staff! Celebrate the season by decorating delicious cookies, sipping on hot chocolate, and playing all of Rudolph’s favorite reindeer games. Children will also receive a gift. Learn more and register for the event.
Winter Jubilation at Indy Island
