Throughout the year, Indy Parks hosts a variety of programs to give your children opportunities for hands-on learning during the school day through our homeschool programs. See a list of our upcoming homeschool programs below:
Homeschool Explorers at Holliday Park
Thursdays 1 – 2:30pm | $5
Nature is the perfect teacher for your homeschool children, so bring them out to Holliday Park where a new topic will be covered each month through hands-on activities and a hike.
January 16 – Tracks and Scat
Feb. 20 – The Science of Syrup
March 20 – Fun with Fungi
May 15 – Pollinators
April 17 – Spring Flowers

Homeschool PE
Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 – 2:30pm | $3/per adult, children are free
If you are looking for a place to lead your homeschool kids in an indoor, physical education experience then you can head over to the Washington Park Family Center. This open gym atmosphere is the perfect place for your kids to run, jump, throw and play games. Home school social groups are welcome.

Homeschool Ornithology Club
Every other Wednesday March 5 – April 16, 10am – 12:30pm | $40
Join other homeschoolers for this educational series at the Eagle Creek Park Ornithology Center, all about birds! Perfect for the young naturalist or fledging ornithologist, ages 10-14. Each of the 4 weeks we focus on different types of birds. Each class will consist of lessons, hikes, games, hands-on activities, and lunch time for the students to get to know each other.
