Acerca del parque Southwestway

Officially dedicated on July 23, 1972, Southeastway Park is a 188-acre nature park that sits in the southeast corner of Marion County and is easily accessible from I-74 at the Acton Road exit in Franklin Township.  Southeastway offers a variety of natural habitats including 80 acres of forest, a pond and wetland, open fields and meadows, several prairies and Buck Creek. Other amenities in the park include picnic shelters and sites, four miles of trails, playgrounds and an Activity Center which is available to rent for private events in the fall and winter months.  The park also offers numerous environmental education programs and special events, such as the acclaimed Bug Fest, throughout the year.  There is no fee to visit the grounds at Southeastway Park and it is open daily from dawn to dusk.  Come check us out!

Actividades mensuales del parque

El terreno para Southeastway Park se compró en febrero de 1961. En ese momento, la mitad del sitio era tierra de cultivo y la otra mitad era bosque pesado.
