About
Gustafson Park was established in 1961 on the city’s west side just Northwest of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The spacious 30-acre park has a playground, two sports fields, and basketball courts. During pool season, you can cool off on a hot summer day at the splash pad and swimming pool, which has a diving board and a full bath house.
Gustafson Park has received a new playground in 2024 thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan. The new playground includes soft pour in place surface along with modern playground equipment and swings.
Additionally, the park will be receiving $1.6 million from the Lilly Endowment Grant to upgrade the football field to a synthetic multi-purpose field.
