Gustafson Park

About

Gustafson Park was established in 1961 on the city’s west side just Northwest of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The spacious 30-acre park has a playground, two sports fields, and basketball courts. During pool season, you can cool off on a hot summer day at the splash pad and swimming pool, which has a diving board and a full bath house.

Gustafson Park will be receiving a new playground in 2024 thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan. The new playground will include a soft pour in place surface along with modern playground equipment and swings.

Additionally, the park will be receiving $1.6 million from the Lilly Endowment Grant to upgrade the football field to a synthetic multi-purpose field.
